Insurance Filing and Financial Assistance
Insurance Filing
McPherson Hospital will file your insurance claim for you. Because of special requirements by insurance companies and frequent changes in the requirements, it is necessary for us to have a copy of your insurance card.
We will ask your insurance provider to send payment directly to McPherson Hospital, allowing your insurance provider time to process and pay your bill. McPherson Hospital works with a wide variety of insurance companies, local and national. Please contact your insurance carrier or your workplace human resources representative to ensure your insurance plan is accepted at McPherson Hospital.
Other Bills You May Receive
Your bill does not include charges from doctors or other medical specialists who provided care during your visit at McPherson Hospital. This may include fees for radiology or specialty consults for providers not employed by us. You will receive separate bills from these providers. If you have questions about your bill, or our billing policies and procedures, please contact our Patient Financial Services team at 620-241-2250.
Financial Assistance
At McPherson Hospital, patients will receive necessary medical care, and the care will never be based on ability to pay. We have trained financial counselors available to discuss your individual needs. If you do not have insurance and/or will have difficulty in paying your portion of the bill, we will review your eligibility for financial assistance and assist you in making payment arrangements.
A financial assistance application is available online, in person or via mail. Counselors are available Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.. Please call 620-241-2250 to speak directly with a member of the Patient Financial Services team.
