For Larry and Pat Bruce, supporting McPherson Hospital is one of the most meaningful ways they can invest in the community they love.
Their most recent gift will help fund important upgrades for the Surgery Department, including operating room lighting, sterile processing equipment, and replacement colonoscopes – another example of their longstanding commitment to McPherson Hospital.
Over the years, their generosity has touched nearly every corner of the hospital, supporting patient beds, waiting room renovations, the Medical Office Building, the Bravo and EndoFLIP systems, and many other projects that have helped strengthen healthcare in McPherson.
The Bruces believe McPherson’s strong industrial base and thriving community depend on having a strong local hospital.
“We’ve always cared about the hospital. We like to support things that benefit the city, and supporting the hospital is one of the most important things we can do locally.”
Their commitment has extended far beyond financial support. Pat has volunteered at McPherson Hospital since 2000 and served on the Volunteer Services Board for more than 20 years. She also served on the McPherson Healthcare Foundation Board from 2011 through 2025, including in executive leadership roles. Through her years of volunteer service and Foundation leadership, Pat helped advance projects that continue to strengthen healthcare for patients and families throughout our community.
The McPherson Healthcare Foundation is grateful for Larry and Pat’s many years of generosity, leadership, and unwavering commitment to McPherson Hospital. Their support has made a lasting impact on the hospital and the people it serves.
For Larry and Pat, giving is about strengthening the community they care about.
“It’s rewarding, and it’s fun to be part of projects that help the hospital.”
