Covid Vaccinations

Vaccine Update 3/26/21:

It is estimated that about 1,100 people have received their vaccine through our clinic, McPherson Medical and Surgical Associates (MMSA), to date. In the coming week, we will have appointments on Tuesday, March 30 and Thursday, April 1, and will be giving 150 first doses as well as second doses. Gov. Kelley has announced that Kansas will enter phase 5 of the vaccination plan starting Monday, March 29th, meaning that any person over age 18 can get the vaccine. (Pfizer is offered down to age 16 but we have very limited availability of that). We have been receiving Moderna vaccine at the clinic. Anyone over age 18 who is a MMSA patient can call and schedule an appointment for a vaccine dose at 620-241-7400. We will announce future vaccination schedules as vaccine becomes available. If you have a health provider who is not affiliated with our clinic, please contact your own provider for information on the vaccine. Those without a local provider should call the McPherson County Health Department.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE COVID-19 VACCINE BELOW!

McPherson Medical and Surgical Associates at McPherson Center for Health will be offering the COVID-19 vaccine exclusively for our patients as it becomes available. If you wonder if you are a candidate for the next phase of the vaccine, please contact your provider.

There are many logistics involved in distribution that we are still working on, but here's what you can do today: Reserve your spot on the waitlist by clicking on the link below. We will notify and prompt you to schedule as soon as we have vaccine available if you are eligible. Please read below for more information on the vaccine and when it will be made available to you. If you have already called and been placed on a wait list with one of our providers, please go ahead and click below to confirm your interest.

1. Our goal is to vaccinate you and all other eligible patients of our clinics as sufficient supplies of vaccine become available. We will contact you when we have more information about when you can schedule and where vaccines will be given.

2. Initially, there has been a limited supply of COVID-19 vaccines available. As such, there are four groups for early COVID-19 vaccination: health care workers, essential workers, people at high risk for severe COVID-19 illness because of other medical conditions and people 65 years and older. Then, other adults will be eligible. Finally, children will be eligible. Early clinical trials did not include kids, so the vaccine will be made available to children when it is shown to be safe and effective.

3. The safety of COVID-19 vaccines is a top priority, and there are many reasons to get vaccinated including protecting you and your loved ones from getting COVID-19.

There is no need to contact our office to schedule a vaccine appointment at this time. We will send updates as we receive information. We look forward to seeing you as soon as possible!

Thank you for your patience as we work together to keep everyone safe.
