For decades, the McPherson Hospital Auxiliary has continued the legacy of the 42 remarkable women who founded it in 1954. Today, our members still dedicate their time and energy to fundraising and volunteer work throughout the hospital. Their efforts have contributed thousands of dollars to the McPherson Healthcare Foundation and McPherson Hospital, supporting numerous projects and events.
How to Get Involved!
All you need to volunteer with us is a desire to help. Whether it’s assisting patients, visitors, or staff, we have a variety of roles to match your interests. If you enjoy interacting with people, the Information Desk might be ideal. Prefer retail? The Gift Shop could be a great fit. If you prefer working behind the scenes, consider helping in the Business Office or participating in special projects and events like bake sales or health fairs.

Membership Options:
- Active: 25 hours/year – $5/year
- Non-active: $10/year
- Life: One-time fee of $100
Volunteers are provided with name tags and polo shirts. Volunteers must follow the dress code, sign a HIPAA confidentiality statement, and complete an application. Active volunteers enjoy perks like free coffee or tea and a 25% discount in the hospital dining room while volunteering. All members receive the volunteer newsletter every other month and are invited to a spring Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon and a volunteer luncheon in October. Volunteers will receive a free membership to Hess Fitness Center.
